Dr.Tushar is a Physician Executive with clinical, educational, administrative and research experience in university and federal hospital settings. Accomplished leader, goal driven and team player. On a mission to promote and make a difference with global dialysis care awareness.

Key achievements include:

Clinical:
Internationally recognized expert in the field of interventional nephrology certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and by the National Board of Examinations in India (http://www.natboard.edu.in). Completed training in India, United Kingdom and USA.

Education:
1. Speaker/trainer at National and International Meetings organized by NKF, ASDIN, ASN, ISHD, ISN, AVATAR, AFRAN, EMAN, INFORM
2. Invited faculty/keynote speaker – 16 different countries.
3. Recipient of Gerald Beathard Award from ASDIN in 2016 in recognition of Teaching Excellence, Scholarly Activity and Clinical Excellence.

Administration:
Successfully led teams to design and launch
1. Multi-disciplinary dialysis vascular access program at Cleveland Clinic
2. Interventional nephrology program for Wake Forest University School of Medicine
3. Successfully led a team to start two outpatient free-standing chronic hemodialysis centers for Salisbury VAMC. Responsibility included designing, writing SOP, Policies & Procedures and obtaining accreditation from Joint Commission
4. Building a team of 6 MD, 2 PA’s, and CKD allied health caregivers to provide CKD/Pre-ESKD care at Salisbury VA Health Care System to provide care to 4500+ CKD patients and 275 in center HD patients.

Research: My research is focused on dialysis vascular access care and education. I have published regularly in peer-reviewed journals and written book chapters (https://goo.gl/oTtJwo). As a Chair of the Education Work Group of ISN (www.theisn.org/) and an Editorial Board Member for Journal of Vascular Access and Seminars in Dialysis, my goal is to bring nephrology related resources and scientific advances to the global community.
