Dear friends, our next INForm meeting is scheduled for 29th July at 8 PM IST. This time we have planned to highlight some selections of the presentations from Avatar 2023. Not everybody would have had the opportunity to attend Avatar meeting in person . We have roped in the very same presenters  to present in our forum, which will be as usual more interactive and so more useful. 

Dr. Barath Sachdeva from US would be presenting and demonstrating Endovascular AVF creation. This is one  of the recent advances in Interventional Nephrology which has not been practiced in our country yet. Although this procedure has been talked about for some in Asdin and Avatar meetings, we have given only scant attention to it, deeming  it to be irrelevant to our country and population for practical reasons. Time has come to give this innovation a serious look as it is bound to reach our shores soon. Discussing this in our forum would give a better perspective than stage presentation in a conference.

In the clinical problem discussion section, short presentations by Dr. Venkatesh  and Dr. J. Balasubramaniam on the problems of Tunnel catheter extrusion and AVF side branch nuisance.

 

Dr. Jasuja who has done yeomen service to Interventional Nephrology for this country, would be the guest of honour, giving us an opportunity to felicitate him. The transition of AVATAR Foundation to AVATAR India Society would also be described and discussed.
