AVF by Nephrologist is a trending procedure. It was started out of necessity in some centres due to the absence of qualified surgeons. From there it has evolved to the present stage where many Nephrologists are undertaking it and finding it better.

Dr. Vel Aravind Faculty INForm
A full-time Interventional Nephrologist at Pineapple Dialysis Care in Trichy. For haemodialysis, he uses the arteriovenous fistula (AVF) access method, both upper arm and lower arm, and is also proficient in placing of AV grafts. Dr. Vel Arvind performs the mini-laparotomy insertion technique for CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis). He is also involved in kidney transplant, which is the predominant service offered at Frontline.
